showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain over much of eastern 

Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. They were most widespread and 

heaviest in Washington, Nowata and Craig counties in Oklahoma. The 

precipitation was in the Tulsa area. The precipitation was in the 

Fort Smith and Bentonville, Rogers and Fayetteville areas. Movement 

was to the northeast at greater than 40 mph. The average amount 

where it rained last hour was one tenth to one quarter of an inch 

with maximum amounts of three quarters to around an inch. Intensity 

decreased during the last hour. The Tulsa area forecast for early 

this morning, cloudy, occasional showers and widespread 

thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms may be severe with heavy rainfall.
