At 828 AM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of 

showers over much of eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas and 

also east of a Eufaula to Hugo line. Showers were heaviest in 

Latimer, Cherokee and Choctaw counties in Oklahoma and was more 

widespread in northeast Texas and far southwest Arkasas. The 

precipitation was in the Bentonville, Rogers and Fayetteville area. 

Movement was to the northeast at greater than 40 mph. The average 

amount where it rained last hour was around one tenth of an inch 

with maximum amounts of one quarter to one half of an inch. Coverage 

and intensity decreased during the last hour. The Tulsa area 

forecast for this morning, occasional showers and a chance of 

thunderstorms with heavy rainfall and temperatures 63 to 69 degrees 

along with south winds 5 to 15 mph.
