showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mostly east of a 

line from Bartlesville to McAlester. Thunderstorms with locally 

heavy rain were located in Ottawa and Delaware counties in Oklahoma 

and Washington county in Arkansas. The precipitation was in the 

Tulsa, Fort Smith and Bentonville, Rogers and Fayetteville areas. 

Movement was to the northeast at around 35 mph. The average amount 

where it rained last hour was one tenth to one quarter of an inch 

with maximum amounts of an inch and a half to two inches. Intensity 

decreased during the last hour. The Tulsa area forecast for this 

evening, showers and thunderstorms likely with a slight chance of 

showers and thunderstorms and temperatures 63 to 68 degrees along 

with south winds up to 5 mph.
