showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mainly north of I44 

and also south of I44 and east of the Muskogee Turnpike. They were 

most widespread and heaviest in Craig, Ottawa and Mayes counties in 

Oklahoma. The precipitation was in the Tulsa area. Movement was to 

the east at around 20 mph. The average amount where it rained last 

hour was around one quarter of an inch with maximum amounts of two 

to two and a half inches. Coverage increased during the last hour. 

The Tulsa area forecast for overnight, mostly cloudy, showers likely 

and a chance of thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms may be severe with 

heavy rainfall.
