showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mainly north of a 

Tulsa to Fort Smith line. Thunderstorms with locally heavy rain were 

located in Ottawa, Mayes and Craig counties in Oklahoma. The 

precipitation was in the Tulsa area. Movement was to the east at 

around 20 mph. The average amount where it rained last hour was 

around one quarter of an inch with maximum amounts of two to two and 

a half inches. Coverage increased during the last hour. The Tulsa 

area forecast for late tonight, mostly cloudy, showers likely and a 

chance of thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms may be severe with heavy 

rainfall.
