At 328 AM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of 

showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain over much of eastern 

Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Thunderstorms with locally heavy 

rain were located in Delaware and Mcintosh counties in Oklahoma and 

Benton county in Arkansas. The precipitation was in the Tulsa and 

Bentonville, Rogers and Fayetteville areas. Movement was to the east 

at around 20 mph. The average amount where it rained last hour was 

one tenth to one quarter of an inch with maximum amounts of two to 

two and a half inches. Coverage and intensity remained about the 

same as last hour. The Tulsa area forecast for late tonight and into 

this morning, occasional showers and thunderstorms with damaging 

winds, large hail, and heavy rainfall and temperatures 65 to 68 

degrees along with southeast winds 5 to 15 mph.
