At 442 AM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of 

showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain generally in 

northwest Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma south of I44 and also north 

of I44 and west of highway 75. They were most widespread and 

heaviest in Choctaw and Haskell counties in Oklahoma and Benton 

county in Arkansas. The precipitation was in the Fort Smith area. 

The precipitation was in the Bentonville, Rogers and Fayetteville 

area. Movement was to the east at around 15 mph. The average amount 

where it rained last hour was one tenth to one quarter of an inch 

with maximum amounts of two to two and a half inches. Intensity 

decreased during the last hour. The Tulsa area forecast for late 

tonight and early this morning, occasional showers with 

thunderstorms likely with damaging winds, large hail, and heavy 

rainfall and temperatures 61 to 66 degrees along with southeast 

winds 5 to 10 mph.
