At 442 AM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of 

showers and thunderstorms generally west of a Bartlesville to 

McAlester line. Thunderstorms with locally heavy rain were located 

in Okfuskee, Creek and Okmulgee counties in Oklahoma. The 

precipitation was in the Tulsa area. Movement was to the northeast 

at around 20 mph. The average amount where it rained last hour was 

one tenth to one quarter of an inch with maximum amounts of one half 

to three quarters of an inch. Coverage, and intensity increased 

during the last hour. The Tulsa area forecast for late tonight and 

early this morning, mostly cloudy, occasional showers and a chance 

of thunderstorms with temperatures 65 to 69 degrees and south winds 

5 to 15 mph.
