At 246 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen since Sunday evening. The heavier rains are ending across the warned area, although periods of light rain with a few embedded thunderstorms will continue for the next couple of hours. As long as rain rates do not increase, then the Flash Flood Warning will be allowed to expire at 3 AM. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
