...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 145 PM CDT THIS 

AFTERNOON FOR SOUTHEASTERN CLEVELAND, SOUTHEASTERN MCCLAIN, 

SOUTHWESTERN POTTAWATOMIE, NORTHWESTERN PONTOTOC, NORTHWESTERN 

SEMINOLE AND NORTH CENTRAL GARVIN COUNTIES...



At 1240 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 

heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain 

have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour. 

Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.



HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing

         flash flooding.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,

         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.



Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

  Seminole, Tecumseh, Pauls Valley, Maysville, Maud, Wayne, 

  Earlsboro, Paoli, Bowlegs, Asher, Tribbey, Wanette, Byars, St. 

  Louis, Rosedale, Brooksville, Macomb, Little, Antioch and Lima.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
