...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 AM CDT FRIDAY FOR 

SOUTHERN FAULKNER, NORTHWESTERN GARLAND, PERRY, NORTHERN PULASKI, 

NORTHWESTERN SALINE, SOUTHWESTERN YELL, NORTHERN MONTGOMERY AND 

NORTHEASTERN POLK COUNTIES...



At 1152 PM CDT, A line of slow moving thunderstorms was continuing 

to produce heavy rainfall across the warned area. Several reports of 

standing water and local flash flooding have occurred, particularly 

within Pulaski County. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have already 

fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are possible 

in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.



HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.



SOURCE...Public reported.



IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,

         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor

         drainage and low-lying areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 

dangers of flooding.
