...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 AM EDT THIS 

MORNING FOR CLAYTON, DEKALB, EAST CENTRAL DOUGLAS, NORTHERN FAYETTE, 

SOUTH CENTRAL FULTON, SOUTHERN GWINNETT, NORTHWESTERN HENRY, 

NORTHWESTERN NEWTON, ROCKDALE AND NORTHWESTERN WALTON COUNTIES...



At 439 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy 

rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have 

fallen. Additional isolated rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are 

possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing.



HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,

         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor

         drainage and low-lying areas.



Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

  Atlanta, Douglasville, Lawrenceville, Decatur, Fayetteville, 

  Conyers, Jonesboro, City of South Fulton, Peachtree City, East 

  Point, Stockbridge, Union City, Forest Park, Snellville, 

  Riverdale, College Park, Fairburn, Lilburn, Loganville and 

  Chamblee.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.
