...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1130 AM CDT THIS 

MORNING FOR WESTERN ALLEN, BEAUREGARD AND VERNON PARISHES AND EAST 

CENTRAL JASPER AND NEWTON COUNTIES...



At 858 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy 

rain across the warned area. Between 5 and 13 inches of rain have 

fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the 

warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.



HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing

         flash flooding.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,

         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.



Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

  De Ridder, Leesville, Newton, Kirbyville, Rosepine, Merryville, 

  Anacoco, Reeves, Singer, Fort Johnson, Bon Weir, Burkeville, 

  Sugartown, Toledo Bend Dam, Ragley, Dry Creek, Fields, Slagle, 

  Mittie and Call.



Numerous roads are closed across the warned area. Please delay 

travel if possible.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
