...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1145 AM CDT THIS 

MORNING FOR EAST CENTRAL ASCENSION, SOUTH CENTRAL LIVINGSTON, 

NORTHWESTERN ST. CHARLES, NORTHEASTERN ST. JAMES AND ST. JOHN THE 

BAPTIST PARISHES...



At 936 AM CDT, The public reported a couple roads impassable due to 

thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 

and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 

to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is 

ongoing or expected to begin shortly.



HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing

         flash flooding.



SOURCE...Public reported.



IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,

         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.



Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

  Reserve, Laplace, Gramercy, Lutcher, Garyville, Wallace, Edgard, 

  North Vacherie, Killona and Montz.



This includes the following Interstates...

	Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 188 and 212.

	Interstate 55 in Louisiana between mile markers 1 and 6.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
