...The National Weather Service in Elko NV has issued a Flood 

Warning for the following rivers in Nevada...



  Humboldt River At Battle Mountain affecting Lander County.



.Recent rainfall combined with ongoing snow melt will keep river 

flows elevated.



For the Lower Humboldt...including Battle Mountain...Minor flooding 

is forecast.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.

...REPLACES RIVER FLOOD ADVISORY...



* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.



* WHERE...Humboldt River at Battle Mountain.



* WHEN...From this afternoon until further notice.



* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Minor to moderate lowland flooding 

  throughout the reach. Some rural roads near the river are flooded.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 1:15 PM PDT Saturday the stage was 9.5 feet.

  - Bankfull stage is 8.5 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage

    and continue rising to 9.9 feet late Wednesday morning.

    Additional rises are possible thereafter.

  - Flood stage is 9.5 feet.

  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of

    9.9 feet on 06/10/1980.
