...The National Weather Service in Topeka KS has issued a Flood 

Warning for the following rivers in Kansas...



  Marais Des Cygnes River near Quenemo affecting Franklin and Osage 

  Counties.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 

cars through flooded areas.



Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 

dangers of flooding.

AFTERNOON...



* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.



* WHERE...Marais Des Cygnes River near Quenemo.



* WHEN...From early this morning to tomorrow afternoon.



* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Lowland areas along the river flood.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - There is no current observed data.

  - Forecast...The river will rise to 22.7 feet this afternoon.

    It will then fall below flood stage late this evening to 4.5

    feet early Tuesday afternoon. It will rise to 6.7 feet

    Tuesday evening. It will then fall to 6.4 feet Wednesday

    morning. It will rise to 7.3 feet early Thursday morning. It

    will then fall again and remain below flood stage.

  - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
