...The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill MO has issued a 

Flood Warning for the following rivers in Missouri...



  Chariton River at Novinger affecting Schuyler, Putnam, Macon and 

  Adair Counties.



For the Chariton River...including Novinger, Prairie Hill...Moderate 

flooding is forecast.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.



* WHERE...Chariton River at Novinger.



* WHEN...Until tomorrow evening.



* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Farm fields along the river begin to flood.

  At 23.0 feet, Moderate flooding of farmland occurs.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 6:45 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 19.0 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage

    late this morning to a crest of 21.3 feet this afternoon. It

    will then fall below flood stage this evening.

  - Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
