River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast 

precipitation for the next 24 hours.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 

cars through flooded areas.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is 

  forecast.



* WHERE...North River at Palmyra.



* WHEN...Until Tuesday evening.



* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Left bank begins to flood near the gage.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 9:30 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 15.8 feet.

  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours

    ending at 9:30 AM CDT Sunday was 15.8 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.5

    feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage

    early tomorrow afternoon.

  - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
