* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.



* WHERE...Village Creek near Kountze.



* WHEN...Until Saturday morning.



* IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Major lowland flooding will occur.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 8:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 23.2 feet.

  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours

    ending at 8:30 PM CDT Tuesday was 23.2 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to crest near 23.2 feet just

    after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage

    Friday evening.

  - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
