...The National Weather Service in Paducah KY has issued a Flood 

Warning for the following rivers in Illinois...Missouri...



  Mississippi River at Thebes



.Recent heavy rainfall will cause the Mississippi River at Thebes to 

rise above flood stage later this week.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.



* WHERE...Mississippi River at Thebes.



* WHEN...From Thursday evening to Monday evening.



* IMPACTS...At 34.0 feet, The town of Thebes begins to flood.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 10:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 28.8 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage

    tomorrow evening to a crest of 35.5 feet Saturday evening. It

    will then fall below flood stage early Monday afternoon.

  - Flood stage is 33.0 feet.
