####018074087#### FNUS55 KPUB 182022 FWFPUB Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado National Weather Service Pueblo Co 222 PM MDT Sat May 18 2024 .Discussion... Dry, warm and somewhat windy conditions are forecast across the district for Sunday and Monday, leading to spotty critical fire weather conditions. However, latest fuels data indicates green up therefore no fire weather highlights are in effect. There will be a chance for afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms both days, with a few of the storms possibly becoming strong across the eastern plains and Pikes Peak region. An upper low pressure system will cross the region Tuesday, bringing a slight cool down as well as some light mountain snow and a better chance for showers and thunderstorms to much of the area. A warming and drying trend returns by Thursday and is expected to last into the following weekend. Poor ventilation rates are expected across the district this evening after 1900 and remain in place until inversions begin to break tomorrow morning between 0800 and 0900. Excellent smoke dispersion is anticipated for the entire area by 1200 and persist through the afternoon. Similar smoke dispersion is forecast for Monday. --- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds --- COZ220-191030- Upper Arkansas River Valley Including Lake County and Chaffee County- 222 PM MDT Sat May 18 2024 .TONIGHT...
