During tonight and Sunday, 30.4 inch high pressure will build over northern Ontario as a 29.6 inch low pressure slowly lifts northeast across the Central Plains. This low will continue to track northeast, crossing western Lake Superior late in the day on Monday at 29.7 inches. As the low moves over northern Ontario Monday night, a weak 29.9 inch ridge will shift east across the Mississippi Valley. On Tuesday, the ridge will move toward the Appalachians as the next low pressure of 29.6 inches tracks from the Dakotas to northern Minnesota. This low will pass just north of Lake Superior on Wednesday. In its wake, a 29.9 inch ridge will shift east to the western Great Lakes by Wednesday evening.
