Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will occasionally be encountered. .SYNOPSIS... Updated to add Marine Dense Fog Advisory for the north half. Low pressure around 29.7 inches over southern Minnesota will lift through Lake Superior early Tuesday. The warm front of this low pressure currently rests over northern Lake Michigan, and will slowly lift northward this afternoon through early Tuesday. Areas of dense fog are occurring over the north half of the lake, which will linger into mid evening. South winds are expected south of the front today, with gusty east winds north of the front, especially in the northern quarter of the lake. East gusts approaching gale force are possible over the far northern tip of the lake. A weak cold front will push eastward through the lake late tonight into Tuesday, bringing light southwesterly winds. Winds shift south and remain light into Tuesday. Scattered showers and an isolated thunderstorm or two are expected today. Storms are not expected to be strong at this time.
