Low pressure of 29.4 inches over the western Great Plains will move north towards the Great Lakes region on Thursday, filling to 29.6 inches by Thursday afternoon. Westerly winds across the Lake this evening will turn easterly overnight and accelerate on Thursday as the low approaches the region. Showers and thunderstorms are possible Thursday afternoon and evening as the low continues to weaken and lift north into Canada by Friday morning. High pressure will then briefly build into the region on Friday with southerly winds in the morning, becoming northerly by Friday afternoon. Northerly winds will continue across the lake through the weekend as another low pressure area of 29.8 inches moves south of Lake Michigan on Saturday. High pressure of 30.1 inches will then build into the Great Lakes region on Sunday.
