The high pressure ridge just off the west coast will retrograde a bit to end the week...opening the door to several disturbances to move through northwesterly flow aloft across the region. No real organized threat of precip through the period with the best opportunity for afternoon or early evening showers/t-storms near the crest of the southern Sierra on Saturday as one of these disturbances moves through the area. Above normal temperatures across much of the region today with the best anomalies across northeast CA and northwest NV from plus 10- to plus 15-degF will slowly cool back toward or just below normal by next week.
