Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms are also forecast to develop behind the front this afternoon and evening. A couple stronger storms are possible across the eastern plains, with small hail and gusty winds. The strongest storms may produce hail up to one inch in diameter. Rain will come to an end late tonight as drier air moves in. Across the mountains, this front will bring light snow, mainly above 9,500 feet. 1-4 inches of snow is possible in favored terrain. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday Elevated fire weather conditions are possible for South Park and the southern foothills Thursday afternoon. Multiple rounds of weak systems should bring light snow to the mountains and scattered showers to the foothills and plains mainly Friday through Sunday.
