  Detroit River Lt. to Maumee Bay OH to Reno Beach OH beyond 5NM 

  offshoreline to US-Canadian border...

  Maumee Bay to Reno Beach OH...



At 1149 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms over the 

western basin of Lake Erie. These thunderstorms was located near 

Bolles Harbor Of Refuge, moving northeast at 20 knots.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 20 knots, locally higher 

waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor 

immediately until this storm passes.

  Nearshore Waters from Gary to Michigan City...

  Open Waters from Winthrop Harbor to Michigan City out to Mid

Lake...



At 1051 PM CDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line

extending from 10 nm east of Wilmette Harbor to 14 nm east of

Harrison-Dever Crib to near Marina Shores at Dune Harbor, moving

northeast at 35 knots.



HAZARD...Wind gusts to nearly 50 knots.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 

         suddenly higher waves.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.



Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the

open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded

metal objects.
