Through 500 pm, a cluster of showers continues north of the Island 

Chain with an embedded thunderstorm located north of Long Key with 

this activity remaining nearly stationary. There are also a few 

isolated showers over the Straits of Florida moving northwest near 5

knots. Mariners encountering the stronger showers can expect brief 

reduction in visibility, wind gusts of 25 to 30 knots, and occasional

lightning strikes.
