Through late morning, widespread showers and thunderstorms will

continue to affect the southern Rolling Plains, with a second 

area of storms farther north in the far southeast Texas 

Panhandle. In addition to some of the storms producing small hail

at times, locally heavy rainfall of nearly a half inch in a short

time will also be possible.
