Through 300 pm, scattered showers and isolated, rare thunderstorms 

will wax and wane across offshore Gulf waters northwest of the Lower 

Keys. This activity will move generally to the north to northeast at

10 to 15 knots. Mariners encountering stronger embedded cells, 

mainly east of a line extending between T Tower and P Tower, can 

expect brief blinding downpours, wind gusts near 25 knots, and a 

couple of cloud to surface lightning strikes.
