...NWS Meteorologists Currently Surveying Storm Damage Near

Waller in Waller County Texas...



The National Weather Service office in Houston/Galveston TX is

currently conducting a storm survey for the area between Waller

and Monaville in Waller County Texas. The survey is in relation 

to the severe thunderstorms that moved through the area on May 16 

2024.



The survey team determined there was an EF-1 tornado with peak

winds between 86 and 110 mph. The length and width of the path 

will be included in the final assessment expected to be completed 

and transmitted via a Public Information Statement by May 20 2024.
