In 1930, light snow fell at a few areas across northwest Kansas.

Goodland measured 2.5 inches, while Colby recorded a trace of 

snow. 



In 1990, Thunderstorms produced severe weather in the central

United States spawning a dozen tornadoes in Nebraska. The 

thunderstorm wind gusts reached 84 mph at Ellis Kansas.
