...NWS Meteorologists Survey Storm Damage Near Vrendenburgh to 

Georgiana in Monroe, Conecuh, and Butler Counties in Alabama...



The National Weather Service office in Mobile AL conducted a 

storm survey for the area near Vrendenburgh to Georgiana in 

Monroe, Conecuh, and Butler Counties Alabama. The survey is in 

relation to the severe thunderstorms that moved through the area 

on May 10, 2024. The team preliminarily found EF1-EF2 tornado 

damage from near Midway, Alabama eastward to Georgiana, Alabama. 

The team also found a swath of significant straight line wind 

damage from Vrendenburgh to Beatrice in Alabama.



A final assessment including results of the survey are expected

to be completed and transmitted via a Public Information

Statement later this evening.
