...Elevated Fire Weather Conditions Expected Friday Afternoon and

Evening...



Weather conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread in

wildland fuels, including grasses and shrubs.



WHERE: Basins east of the Continental Divide.



WHEN: Friday between 1 PM and 8 PM.



RELATIVE HUMIDITY: 10 to 20 percent.



WIND: Sustained winds 25 to 35 mph with 45 to 50 mph gusts.



TEMPERATURE: Highs in the mid 70s to low 80s, which is 10 to 15

degrees above average.



IMPACT: Fire and emergency officials should be aware that weather

conditions will be favorable for the development of significant 

wind-driven grass and shrub fires.
