.DISCUSSION...



Scattered showers and possibly an isolated thunderstorm through

the afternoon for areas along and south of I-90. Additional

isolated showers and storms are possible this afternoon into the

evening across the area, but confidence in timing and coverage is

low as dry air may limit precipitation. New rainfall amounts less

than 0.25". Highs today in the 60s and lower 70s, with northwesterly

winds gusting to around 25 mph. 



Mostly dry and warmer Friday into Sunday, with highs in the 70s to

lower 80s. Isolated showers/storms possible Friday afternoon and

evening east of Hwy 75, although precipitation may again struggle

to reach the ground. Otherwise, better rain chances return later 

in the day Sunday. Winds on Friday will be breezy with gusts to 35

mph. 



Warmer than average temperatures continue into early/mid next

week, along with continuing periodic rain/storm chances. Best

chances mid next week.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...



The Grassland Fire Danger Index will reach the low category 

this afternoon. Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture 

content of grasses, and other dry organic material on the 

ground, indicate that the probability of a fast moving fire is 

low. Outdoor burning under these conditions can usually be 

with reasonable safety precautions, but should be monitored.



OUTLOOK FOR FRIDAY AFTERNOON...The Grassland Fire Danger Index

will reach the low category. 



The grassland fire danger product reflects fire danger for native

grasses. It is not intended for cured agricultural crops, nor

will it reflect conditions in road ditches which have been mowed.
