Lows this morning will range from the 30s northeast to lower 40s southwest. Highs today will range from the 40s to mid 50s north, to the 60s and lower 70s south. Windy conditions will develop from eastern Montana into the western Dakotas this afternoon behind the rain showers, which is combined with low relative humidities to create critical fire weather conditions in portions of that area. Rain showers linger over northeast North Dakota and much of Minnesota overnight into early Wednesday, while western and southern portions of the region dry out. Lows on Wednesday morning will be in the 30s over western and central portions of the region, with some 40s remaining under the clouds and rain showers in the east. The latter half of the work week will bring seasonably cool temperatures. Daytime highs will be mostly in the 50s and 60s, with overnight lows in the 30s and 40s. Daily chances for showers will remain in the forecast Wednesday through Friday. $$
