Today: 



After another active evening of thunderstorms rolling across the 

state, conditions have quieted down as dried out as an area of high 

pressure moves in from the west. Overnight temperatures are 

generally in the mid 40s to mid 50s under mostly clear skies and 

west to northwest winds around 5 to 15 mph.



More showers and storms are expected later today. Expect isolated to 

scattered activity to increase by this afternoon and evening, then 

period of showers and storms become widespread tonight. The threat 

of severe weather is low at this time. Highs today will generally be 

in the 60s and 70s.



Tonight and beyond: 



Periods of showers and storms continue into Thursday. Widespread 1 

to 2 inches of rainfall with locally higher amounts are possible 

before the precipitation ends by Thursday night. Our active pattern 

does not rest long as chances for showers and storms return for 

Saturday and again early next week. Highs will be right around normal 

for early May in the upper 60s and 70s.
