The long, occluded front wrapped around the low from the central to northern Plains and into the Upper Midwest, under the base of a deep upper-level low aloft. National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a broad area of light to moderate wintry precipitation was still falling in the vicinity of the wrapping occluded front and surface low, mainly in the form of freezing rain across portions of southeastern North Dakota into northern Minnesota, with snow elsewhere. A rain/snow mix was occurring where warmer air resided over portions of central and western Missouri. Some additional accumulations of 1-3" are most likely from northeastern Colorado into eastern Nebraska and southern South Dakota, as well as the Middle Missouri Valley. Winds should also wane somewhat by Wednesday morning. However, areas of blowing snow may impact travel, especially through Tuesday night. Some additional ice accumulations of up to 0.1" are possible from northern South Dakota into southeastern North Dakota, which will maintain a threat of power outages and tree damage, in addition to dangerous travel conditions.
