Upstate New York and New England are under winter storm warnings and winter weather advisories Much of Pennslyvania, upstate New York, most of New Jersey, and parts of Delaware are under a flood watch. Flood warnings are also scattered across much of the Mid-Atlantic through the Midwest. Portions of the Southern Appalachians are under a winter storm warning and winter weather advisories. A winter storm warning remains in effect across portions of northern Wisconsin and Michigan. Wind Advisories are in effect for portions of the Mississippi Valley and New England. A broad area of snow has been observed within the wrap around flow across the Upper Midwest. A broad area of snow and rain showers will persist in the wrap around flow.Snow will persist across Upper Michigan while tapering off across parts of the Mississippi Valley. A parent low is then expected to deepen across the Northeast coastline and bring the threats of strong wind and heavy rain along warmer coastal locations and wintry precipitation to portions of New York and into New England. Furthermore, there may be a period where a wintry mix and/or freezing rain develops across the Poconos, Berkshires, Adirondacks and Catskills. Snow accumulations over 1 foot likely for the favored higher terrain of northern New England with locally 2 feet possible.
