Flood Warnings are in effect for portions of Northeastern Florida Flood Watches are in effect for portions of northern and coastal Florida and portions of far western North Carolina and southwestern Virginia. Wind Advisories are in effect for portions of northern Georgia, South Carolina, eastern Tennessee, western North Carolina, and far southwestern Virginia. For a detailed graphical depiction of the latest watches, warnings and advisories, please see www.weather.gov At 900 AM EST...National Weather Service Doppler Radar indicate that bands of moderate to heavy rainfall cover a wide area, ranging from the southern Appalachians and Tennessee Valley northward through the Ohio Valley, central Appalachians and Mid-Atlantic states. The heaviest rainfall is currently occurring along the western boundary of the precipitation in a band stretching from central Tennessee through southern Ohio. There is also heavy rainfall falling spreading from Lake Erie into western New York. A warm front is currently draped across the Southeast, where there are scattered bands of showers and thunderstorms. Winds associated with Tropical Depression Nicole continue to gradually diminish across the Southeast as Nicole continues to weaken.
