For a detailed graphical depiction of the latest watches, warnings and advisories, please see www.weather.gov At 800 PM CST...A strong cold front was progressing off the East Coast with several waves of low pressure located along the boundary, the deepest of which was centered just south of Halifax, Nova Scotia with a minimum central pressure of 995 mb (29.38 in Hg). Latest surface observations and RADAR indicated the vast majority of the snow has moved offshore and into Canada to the north of the frontal boundary. Some light to moderate rainfall was lingering over southern and coastal New England, which was making its way offshore. Temperatures behind the cold front were rapidly decreasing over eastern New England, leading to some light snow showers on the back side of the system. For portions of southeastern New England, a brief transition to light snow is possible before precipitation ends. Any additional snowfall accumulations associated with this storm system will be light, and likely limited to coastal Maine. To the west, light lake effect snow will continue to fall across much of New York, Pennsylvania, and elevated areas of the Appalachians overnight.
