The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Waters from Intracoastal City to Cameron LA from 20 to 60 NM...



* Until midnight CDT.



* At 1103 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 nm west of West

  Cameron Wc284, or 46 nm east of High Island A131, moving east at 40

  knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots and large destructive hail.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 

           suddenly higher waves. Large hail could result in 

           personal injury and significant structural damage.



* Locations impacted include...

  Vermilion 200, East Cameron 157, East Cameron 222, West Cameron

  Wc284, East Cameron 195, Vermilion 161, and East Cameron 160.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are

expected.



Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the

open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded

metal objects.
