* Special Marine Warning for...

  Black River To Ontonagon MI...

  Lake Superior from Saxon Harbor WI to Upper Entrance to Portage

  Canal MI 5NM off shore to the US/Canadian border including Isle

  Royale National Park...

  Saxon Harbor WI to Black River MI...



* Until 445 PM EDT.



* At 408 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 29 nm east of

  Madeline Island, or 34 nm south of The Western Lake Superior Buoy,

  moving northeast at 35 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and large hail.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 

           suddenly higher waves. Large hail could result in 

           structural damage.



* The severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.
