The National Weather Service in Key West has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Hawk Channel and Straits of Florida from Craig Key to Halfmoon

  Shoal out 20 nm...

  Bay and Gulf Side from Craig Key to Halfmoon Shoal out to 5

  fathoms...



* Until 915 AM EDT.



* At 828 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm with possible waterspouts was

  located over Pigeon Key. The strong thunderstorm was nearly

  stationary.



  HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small 

           hail.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can quickly form and capsize boats, cause 

           considerable damage to vessels and create suddenly higher 

           waves. Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots, suddenly 

           higher waves, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours.



* Locations in the warning include...

  Channel Key Pass Light, Little Pine Key, Bonefish Tower, Long Key

  Viaduct, Money Key, East Turtle Shoal Light, and Horseshoe Key.
