The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Coastal waters from Riviera Beach to Delray Beach FL out 20 NM...



* Until 800 PM EDT.



* At 657 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line

  extending from 8 nm west of Riviera Beach to near Ocean Ridge to 7

  nm east of Highland Beach, moving east around 15 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 

           suddenly higher waves.



* Locations impacted include...

  Ocean Ridge, Palm Beach, Hypoluxo, South Palm Beach, Manalapan,

  Briny Breezes, Gulf Stream, Palm Beach Shores, and Riviera Beach.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.



Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily

overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor

immediately.
