The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Waters from Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach FL from 20 to 60 NM...



* Until 945 PM EDT.



* At 818 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line

  extending from 25 nm east of Palm Beach Shores to 29 nm east of

  Palm Beach to 30 nm east of Ocean Ridge, moving east at 20 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 

           suddenly higher waves.



* Strong thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.



Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily

overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor

immediately.
