* At 1227 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line

  extending from 24 nm west of Ripley to 11 nm south of Erie, moving

  east at 35 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts to nearly 50 knots and small hail.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 

           suddenly higher waves.
