* Until 1015 AM EDT.

          

* At 910 AM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along line 

  across northeastern New jersey, moving east at 45 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts 45 knots or greater and small hail.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated.



  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 

           suddenly higher waves.



* Strong thunderstorms will be near...

  Lower New York Harbor, The Verrazano Narrows Bridge, and Upper New 

  York Harbor around 945 AM EDT.

  Rockaway Inlet around 950 AM EDT.

  Jamaica Bay around 955 AM EDT.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.

Wind gusts 34 knots or greater, small hail, high waves, lightning,

and heavy rain are expected with these storms. If caught on the open

water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal

objects.
