The National Weather Service in League City has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Coastal waters from High Island to Freeport TX out 20 NM...

  Galveston Bay...



* Until 845 PM CDT.



* At 713 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line 

  extending from Cove to Trinity Bay to near Eagle Point to League 

  City, moving east southeast at 30 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 50 knots.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Boats could suffer significant structural damage in high 

           winds. Small craft could capsize in suddenly higher 

           waves.



* Locations impacted include...

  East Galveston Bay, Galveston Ship Channel, Galveston Bay Entrance,

  Galveston Bay, Buoy 42035, North Jetty, Galveston Pier 21,

  Galveston 150, Smith Point, High Island 157, Rollover Pass, High

  Island 63, High Island A179, The Texas City Dike, Eagle Point,

  Offatts Bayou, and southern Trinity Bay.
