The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...

  Western Atchison County in northeastern Kansas...



* Until 700 PM CDT.



* At 606 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Whiting, or 7

  miles southwest of Horton, moving east at 20 mph.



  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated.



  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage 

           to roofs, siding, and trees.



* Locations impacted include...

  Effingham, Lancaster, Muscotah, Farmington, and Huron.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
